The Setup Menu

p MOVIE ZOOM TYPE (default: D)

Choose the type of zoom available during movie recording: C DIGITAL or D OPTICAL.

R Movies recorded using digital zoom may be slightly “grainy”.

C AF ILLUMINATOR

(default: ON)

If ON is selected, the AF-assist illuminator will light to assist autofocus.

Q The camera may be unable to focus using the AF-assist illuminator in some cases. If the

camera is unable to focus in macro mode, try increasing the distance to the subject.

Q Avoid shining the AF-assist illuminator directly into your subject’s eyes.

m AUTOROTATE PB

(default: ON)

Choose ON to automatically rotate “tall” (portrait-orientation) pictures during playback.

O BACKGROUND COLOR

Choose a color scheme.

h WIND FILTER

Choose ON to reduce the noise of the wind when shooting movies.

r WIRELESS SETTINGS

Adjust settings for connection to a wireless network. For information on using wireless networks,
