Using the Camera
4 Focus on the main subject in the AF frame
and press the shutter button down halfway.

MEMO
The shutter button has a halfway point at which focus and
exposure are automatically optimized before taking the
picture by pressing fully down.
CAUTION
When pressing the shutter button halfway, a lens
operation sound may be heard.
5 Press the shutter button fully.
CAUTION
When taking a picture using the flash, the image may
disappear and go dark briefly due to flash charging. The
indicator lamp blinks orange during charging.
MEMO
When the subject is not in the AF frame, use AF/AE lock
to take the picture (p.33).
When pressing the shutter button down fully in one
motion, the camera takes the picture without the AF
frame changing.
When a picture is taken, the illumination lamp on the
front of the camera lights to indicate that shooting is
complete.
Images are saved in the folder displayed in the top left
of the LCD monitor (p.27).
