Taking Pictures (B AUTO Mode)
CAUTION
If the camera is unable to detect faces in an image, it will
not correct the red-eye effect sufficiently, or not at all.
Correction results may differ depending on the scene.
The processing may take more time if there are many
faces in an image.
2 Check the composition on the LCD monitor.
3 Press the shutter button down fully to take
pictures.
CHECK [ FACE DETECTIONbREMOVAL ON]
When a picture is taken with [ FACE
DETECTIONbREMOVAL ON] set, the red-eye effect
will be detected and corrected before the image is
recorded.
When there are multiple people
in the frame, Intelligent Face
Detection will set a green frame
around the face nearest to the
center of the picture. This face
has focusing priority.

ARed-eye effect in an
image will be detected after
the shooting.
REMOVINGREMOVING
BRed-eye effect will be
corrected before the image
is recorded. When the red-
eye effect is not detected,
processing will end without
the [REMOVING] screen
displayed.
