Getting Ready

Loading the Battery

1 Open the battery cover.

CAUTION

• Do not open the battery cover while the camera is on.

This could damage the Memory Card or ruin the image

files on the Memory Card.

• Do not apply force to the battery cover.

• If the battery cover cannot be closed, do not

attempt to close it with excessive force, check if the

battery is loaded correctly.

2 Load the battery.

Point the battery terminals in a downward direction with

the battery release catch ((1) orange) and battery

indicator ((2) orange) facing each other, then load the

battery into the camera in the direction of the arrow.

Check that the battery is firmly held in place.

CAUTION

• Load the battery in the correct direction.

• The orange battery indicator may not be printed on the

battery.

Battery is required to operate the digital camera. At first, load the battery in the camera.
